Wherever it looped or ran is from the Serlachius residency in Finland. The installation combines composite photographs made from images taking during walks
with photographs constructed in studio. The studio photographs use discarded materials gathered from the walks arranged in relationship to the constructed
landscape photographs. In old-growth forests, cultivated forests, and trash heaps, cycles of transformation are apparent. The work is part tribute and part
communicative gesture, a call and response for our precarious relationship to the environment.
